It's too bad when parents think their children can do no wrong, but it's better than thinking they can do no right.
~ Unknown
Having a child makes you a parent. Having two makes you a referee.
~ David Frost
Parents — and teachers, too — are woefully short-sighted when they try to protect the child from his mistakes, when they make the "right answer" more important than the quest for knowledge and good judgment. For what is not learned within one's self cannot be learned from another.
~ Sydney J. Harris
God could not be everywhere and therefore He made mothers.
~ Jewish proverb
Love and respect are the most important aspects of parenting, and of all relationships.
~ Jodie Foster

Will Cindy try to shove Jesus down my throat?
Good grief, no! Cindy feels strongly about acknowledging the Lord in
all she does, and His presence on this web site is simply a
product of that. If you want Jesus to be part of the coaching
relationship, He will be, but that will not come from Cindy.
It's about your agenda, not hers.

Can I just try out coaching to see if I like it?
Absolutely! Just contact Cindy at 425-806-5444 or cindy@growgreatkids.com and request your free trial session. There are no strings attached and if you decide against coaching, you will at least have received 30 minutes of expert energy on solving the parenting dilemma of your choice.

When and where does coaching occur?
Coaching occurs over the telephone on regularly scheduled
30-minute calls. The bulk of the coaching work, though,
comes between calls. Your success is directly related to
your investment in the process.

Is parent coaching right for me?
Parent coaching is right for you if
 |
you observe areas in your family life you would like to change |
 |
you are willing to work to change them |
 |
you are open to and desire new ideas |
 |
you are willing to invest the resources of time and money to reach your goals |
One thought: have you read the books and taken the classes, and
just feel like you're not applying what you've learned as well as you
could? The focused support of a parent coach will get you over that
hurdle to a place where there is sustained and effective change.
Click on the Parent Coaching page, then click on "Do I Need a
Parent Coach?" and "How Will Parent Coaching Benefit Me?" to further assist you in your decision.

How much does coaching cost?
A typical arrangement is $100 per month, but there are several options
available. Click on the Parent Coaching page, then click on "What Are
the Coaching Options and Fees?" to see the available choices.

What if I don't like coaching?
Cindy provides a full refund to any client who is not more than satisfied.

For how long do people coach?
People work with a coach for anywhere from one month to five years.
Three to 18 months is typical. During that time you will set and
achieve parenting and family-life goals and will be in forward-moving
action, sometimes in baby steps and other times by leaps and
bounds. Both coach and client will know when it's time for the
coaching relationship to end, or to slide into a less frequent
schedule.

Can I coach with my spouse?
Yes, your spouse can be on another extension or can coach
separately. Arrangements can be made to best fit your needs.

Do my children attend coaching sessions?
No. Parent coaching is only for the parents. However, there are many
qualified child and teen coaches to whom Cindy can refer you,
if you so desire.
